چکیده
Node selection is a simple technique to achieve diversity and thereby enhance the physical layer security in future wireless communication systems which require low complexity. High-speed data transmission often encounters frequency selective fading. In this context, we evaluate exact closed-form expression for ergodic secrecy rate (ESR) of optimal source-destination pair scheme with single-carrier cyclic-prefix modulation, where destination eavesdropper channels both exhibit independent fading an arbitrary number multipath components. A simplified analysis high-SNR scenario along asymptotic also provided. We derive compare corresponding results sub-optimal scheme. show that our produces ESR under narrowband Nakagami-$m$ channel any integer parameter $m$. The effect transmitters, eavesdropping paths correlation on demonstrated. Our solution approach general can be used find wider variety transmitter schemes.

Optimal Training for Frequency-selective Fading Channels
Many communications systems employ training, i.e., the transmission of known signals, so that the channel parameters may be learned at the receiver. This has a dual effect: too little training and the channel is improperly learned, too much training and there is no time left for data transmission before the channel changes. In this paper we use an information-theoretic approach to find the opti...

In this article, we consider the diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) of relay-assisted communication through correlated frequency selective fading channels. Recent results for relays in flat fading channels demonstrate a performance and implementation advantage in using relay selection as opposed to more complicated distributed space-time coding schemes. Motivated by these results, we explore...
متن کاملOptimal placement of training for frequency-selective block-fading channels
The problem of placing training symbols optimally for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and single-carrier systems is considered. The channel is assumed to be quasi-static with a finite impulse response of length ( + 1) samples. Under the assumptions that neither the transmitter nor the receiver knows the channel, and that the receiver forms a minimum mean square error (MMSE) ch...
